Because ingredients for our frozen juices are picked and prepared at peak ripeness, locking in maximum nutrients. By contrast, “fresh” produce often spends days in transit and on supermarket shelves before it reaches you — losing nutritional value along the way.
Science backs this up. In 2018, researchers at the University of Seville found that frozen, unpasteurised orange juice can actually be healthier than fresh, thanks to better biological availability of key carotenoids like phytoene and phytofluene — even after some natural losses during freezing.
And that’s not all. A 2015 study showed that frozen blueberries pack more vitamins C and E than their fresh counterparts, and that spinach loses 100% of its vitamin C in a week at room temperature — but only 30% when frozen.
In short: freezing doesn’t just preserve — it protects.
